What's Your Excuse?

Romans 2

It is remarkably easy to beocme a hypocrite. When we know what is right, it is a very simple thing to assume that we are right.

Nobody is, according to Paul, my new least-favorite apostle.

What a drag to find out that God cares more about our attitudes than our knowledge or even action.

"I didn't know I was speeding."

That's my excuse whenever I'm caught breaking the law.

What's yours?

Why Are You Here?

Romans 1

Paul had an extremley clear sense of his own purpose: God put him on this earth in order to tell non-Jewish people about Jesus. That's it.

Many people, according to Paul, lack a strong sense of identity and, therefore, of purpose. They don't know who they are, who made them, or why they are here. So they act like idiots.

Do you know why God made you? How has that sense of purpose (or lack of purpose) affected your life?
